Hunting in the Hi-Line
Hunters from all across North America come to the Hi-Line region of Montana to hunt antelope, mule deer, white tailed deer, world-class elk, bighorn sheep and even prairie dogs. Other games like pheasants, sharp-tailed and sage grouse, Hungarian Partridge, wild turkey, ducks and geese are also amongst hunters' favorite games.

Land Access and Block Management

Licensing and Permits
There are four ways for residents and non-rsidents to obtain a license or apply for a special permit.
- You can use the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Online Reservation System.
- Visit the FWP Regional Offices page where you may purchase your license and/or apply for special drawings.
- Visit one of the FWP License Providers to purchase your general licenses and pick up special drawing applications for moose, sheep, goat, deer, elk and antelope.
- At the following link you can download your Mail-in Application Forms. Once completed, mail it to the address inditated on the application form.
- In Malta, you can also purchase your licenses at Westside Sports, LLC. Their address is 210 HWY 2 W., Malta, MT. 59538. They are open Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tel: 406-654-1611
